Stacey Murray
Chair
With an extensive background in education, state government, nonprofit stakeholder engagement, and business development, Stacey Murray brings valuable experience to Positive Vibes Pathway, Inc.
Stacey Murray is a strategic human resources executive, workforce development leader, and organizational strategist with extensive experience leading talent, culture, and workforce initiatives across complex organizations. She has served as Chief Human Resources Officer, where she provided executive leadership for human resources supporting more than 11,000 employees and a $400 million operating and capital budget.
Stacey has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master of Arts in Education, Advanced Graduate Studies in Education Administration, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Organization Development.
As a collaborative leader and coalition builder, Stacey partners with leaderships and stakeholders to develop and implement workforce strategies that align people, culture, and organizational priorities. Her expertise includes talent acquisition and retention, employee relations, workforce planning, compensation, compliance, organizational development, policy development, risk management, and HR operations. She is particularly passionate about strengthening organizational culture, developing leaders, and creating workforce strategies that attract and develop high-performing employees.
Throughout her career, Stacey has served as a trusted advisor to leaders, using data, research, and workforce insights to inform strategic decision-making. She has experience leading complex initiatives, developing policies and procedures, managing partnerships and contracts, supporting organizational change, and addressing workforce challenges in highly regulated environments. Her professional background also includes experience in consulting, communications, and public relations, giving her a distinctive perspective on leadership, strategy, communication, and community engagement.
Stacey is also passionate about education, particularly initiatives that prepare young people and emerging professionals for meaningful careers. Her academic and research interests focus on workforce leadership development, as well as mentoring, within the public sector and public education.
Stacey builds relationships, navigates complex challenges, and brings people together around a shared vision. She helps organizations create cultures where everyone can thrive and where strategic planning drives success.

Steve Clinton
Vice Chair
Raised in the Kansas City area, Steve enlisted in the Marine Corps at 17 and had the
privilege of serving around the world before retiring in 2009. After retirement, Steve and his wife, Amanda, chose North Charleston as their next destination, and it has been their home ever since. They raised their two daughters, Sydney and Shelby, here, and watching them grow up as part of this community has made North Charleston especially meaningful to their family.
Today, Amanda and Steve are proud to call North Charleston home and even prouder to be part of a community where people look out for one another. Their entire family stays actively involved in the community and believe being good neighbors means more than simply living in a place—it means investing time, energy, and heart in making that place better for everyone.

Donette Gibson
Treasurer
Donette Gibson is a Charleston native with a big heart for community empowerment. She currently works as a Senior Compliance Analyst for a Medicaid plan in South Carolina. Donette holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science; a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s of Jurisprudence in Health Care Law and Compliance.
Long inspired by community outreach, she has worked with several mentoring programs to help advance children and the African American community. As the mother of two children, Donette’s goal is to always be the “village” to children that look like her and uplift the community in different way. She stands on her Christian faith believing that you must “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding and he will direct your path.”
As Treasurer, Donette combines her professional financial experience with a deep commitment to ensuring the organization has the resources needed to grow its impact within the community. Outside of her work on this board, she owns a tax business DGibson Tax Services Plus More LLC where she also is a notary, assists in getting convicted felons’ pardons and assistance in getting probate estates completed properly. Her spare time includes but is not limited to volunteering with the local mentoring program, spending time with her family especially her favorite granddaughter Genesis, traveling, and shopping.
